Are you serious?
If so, as a general rule of thumb, water + electronics = bad

Plugged in electronics + water is a bad idea. I have heard HAM radio operators "washing" certain boards in their rigs, also some people claim that "washing" floppy drives that have stopped working made them work again.

Unplug before soaking.
Pure water is an insulator, so shouldn't matter anyway. Just don't wash the keyboard with Pepsi or coffee.

I did this once.. I didn't put any soap in the dishwasher, and left the keyboard in the top rack and turned off 'heat dry' however, I wasn't satisifed with the results. the keys were 'sticky' from various things dropped/spilled into it, and while the dishwasher made it clean, it did not unstickify the keys

So why is soap a bad idea?
