The fact AT was not mentioned doesn't bother me in the least. The lack of coupon codes and such here at Anandtech, eliminates a lot of the group who in the past abused the hell out of deals and also who found ways to cheat the system. You can read many posts at F@tWallet were people explain how to exploit companies, I mean maximize deals. You also have countless people begging for coupons in the threads there. A lot of the posts there are trash and it takes a while to find the facts on a deal. With all that said, I do check F@tWallet on a regular basis and participated in the Disney deal. But I prefer to participate in Anandtech for my day to day activity.

placed my order on the 2nd, called in today to check my status. they told me the order would not be shipped until i had mailed them a physical copy of the original holiday gift coupon. without it, they would either charge full price or have to cancel my order.

I got that pending "send in physical card" email for the sub $15 order but I have not received an email for the Beauty and the Beast DVD order which was over $15 (actual subtotal was not zero) . . . i think they are only pending orders that are "free" and those that ordered $25 gift certificates . . . anyone recieved email for orders over $15?

I ordered B&B and another $19.99 title. Got the "We have just learned that information about the Holiday Magic Card was inaccurately posted on certain Web sites and email services without Disney's prior knowledge or authorization" email covering both orders. They probably just haven't gotten around to sending you the email yet.

I didn't read anything in the terms and conditions that said 'In the event Disney is dumb enough to use the same code on all cards, Disney will not honor the discount.' Actually, the terms don't even talk about a code, sounds like it was definitely all their goof, and the email wasn't even relevant. Should have just read 'Dear customer, we screwed up, you aint gettin' jack!' I'd have been cool with that.

Can anyone scan the actual thing? I want to know what was exactly stated in the terms and condition. If there's nothing like what Disney claims then we should all just go ahead and complain to FTC or something. It's not because we exploited their system and didn't get anything, hell that can be taken care of by a simple "Sorry we can fulfill your order(s) due to an error on our site" from them, but they didn't do what were supposed to be done. They can't just change the terms whenever they like.

How 'bout a class action or something... just for the fun of it... let's kill the mouse

My reply to Disney,

"I don't have the card, so you can cancel my order if you want. I will not be buying the DVD for full price from your site. In fact, I've never even considered ever buying anything from your site before. The total cost of the DVD I ordered was $11.52. You're saying you'd rather I buy nothing than buy a DVD for $12? People all over the world are downloading these movies for free and when somebody tries to do the right thing and feed the corporate machine, they're scolded for not being willing to cough over more? I'm sure I'll find it for this price from another vendor soon anyway. Also, it's not very bright to use a generic code to reward past customers. For a little bit more work and planning, you could have issued a unique code to each person you wanted to reward. And, by the way, HSN.com frequently offers $15 off $20 to first time customers, so your $15 off any order didn't seem so unrealistic especially when you consider how much the products cost in the first place and how much the "shipping" costs are."
