Display problems....help please?

After removing a weatherbug and a SiSX (?) program, my display is at 16 bit color and 640 X 480 pixels. There's no option to change it back to 256 bit as usual. Can someone please tell me what could be wrong? Also, my resources are low and even on DSL web pages are slow to load. The screen looks as if I'm running in safe mode, but don't think I am. Any help would be appreciated.....can't afford to call a tech for repair. Thanks in advance.

might want to reinstall your video card drivers...

Yep, I deleted the video driver SIS X Player by accident. I did try using the disk to reinstall the drivers, but the computer didn't recognize the disk and asked for the command after I clicked on INSTALL in add/remove programs? Any idea where I can find this drive to reinstall it?

Just wanted to say thank you for the help! You guys are the best! Drivers are reinstalled, and graphics back to normal.
