This relates to an older backup computer running Windows 7 64 bit SP1 with a GTX1650 video card and using nVidia graphics driver version 474.11.
Recently replaced the motherboard CMOS backup 3V lithium coin battery. Reset CMOS using clear CMOS button on the motherboard.
After re-installing the video driver (after running DDU to remove traces of previous video driver) and setting the display resolution to 1280 x960, I eventually shut the computer down. Computer not fully shutdown, PSU was still switched on.
Started the computer again (via case power button) a bit later and found the display resolution had now dropped back to 1024 x 768!? Reset display resolution to 1280 x 960. Switched computer off again. Started computer a bit later and once again the display resolution had dropped back down to 1024 x768!?
Why is the display resolution dropping back down after shutting computer down and then starting computer again? The wanted higher resolution settings seem not to be saved!?
I don't recall having this issue previously!
