It's not hard to dispose of a body...but it is significantly more difficult to dispose of a body properly so it isn't discovered for a long time.

Not everyone has after-hours access to Satriale's meat cutting equipment.

Throw in a lake. Make sure to deliver a few deep stab wounds to the chest cavity so the lungs deflate and the body doesn't float.

Bodies don't float because of the air in the lungs.
They float because of gas buildup throughout the entire body. The gasses from decomposition build up in all of the tissues.

Wouldn't work. Of course, the whole body wouldn't float to the surface if weighed down, but after days/weeks of decomposition, but parts that aren't pinned down will eventually float toward the surface due to gas-buildup and weakening of the tissues that had kept it attached to the rest of the anchored body.
Though if you take care of the jaw, you could be safe.

bath of concentrated KOH works well. Make sure you have good ventilation and that you don't mind having a slowly dissolving corpse in your house for too long. After awhile, nothing will be left. Not even the bones.

Get a few of those big ass oil drums.

Cut the body up into chunks - alternator size is a bit small, battery size is about right.

Fill the drums about 3/4 full with fine industrial sawdust from your local furniture factory. Add diesel oil until you have a soft dough.

Place a few chunks towards the top of each drum, then pack with more sawdust diesel mix until the drums are full.

Top off with a little gasoline.

Light.

The sawdust/diesel mix is very thick, so that the body chunks don't sink, and stay suspended in the hottest part of the fire. It also burns reasonably slowly but at a good high temperature.

A 42 gallon drum burns for about 1 week - less if you perforate the sides of the drums. Easily performed with a suitable rifle.

After a week at the very high temperatures of burning diesel, there will be nothing recognisable left - even the bones will be reduced to ash.

Why not just make a big bonfire using bigger logs? Fire's out in about 24-36 hours. Do it right & you can instantly incincerate aluminum cans, melt bottles until there isn't even a recognizable blob of glass after the fire is out. Can easily cremate a body that way.
