Four Canadians lost their lives due to the americans mistaking their live fire exercises as them being fired upon. Many more were hurt and may never walk again. These types of posts should not be allowed and should be edited now and the member disiplined...

I agree it is tasteless rubbish to talk like that. I think there are a lot of tensions between US citizens and Canada due to Canada not supporting the US in the Iraq situation, coupled with several Canadians like hagbard that like to fuel the fires. I hope you know that 99.99 percent of our people do not think such rubish in any form of serious thought. Unfortunately the worst of the bunch have internet access..

I know his comment was a joke but how would u feel if you lost your family due to a mistake. Oh but of course he should be allowed to say that because hes just blowing off some steam.

that just sickens me. Its like me making comments about 9/11 and the innocent lives that were taken there.

hagbard has pretty much done everything he can to fuel the fire. He has called almost every member of our government jackbooted fascists, cursed our leaders, conservative members, wished death upon members, etc.

Jimbo was out of line, but hagbard did that crap in almost every thread. He never apologized and Jimbo did. What action are you wanting? Do you want him banned? Lots of Americans have put up with crap coming from other countries. It doesn't make what Jimbo did right, but both sides are just as guilty.

BTW- Lots of jokes have been made on AT about plane crashes and I have been offended at a few. Only a select few truly offended me(my father died in plane crash).

If somebody made a joke related in a general way to something bad that happened to someone I loved or knew or that happened to me, I'd LAUGH because being offended by a nonpersonal comment, a non-insulting comment, is counterproductive, and I'd rather get some of the best medicine than give myself an ulcer.

I find that joke offensive. Canada is a close friend and ally and I appreciate the help and support they gave in the wake of 9-11. The accidental bombing was a tragedy and not something to joke about.
