>Also, doesn't this pretty much set you up for an intruder to sniff out the port and get control of your pc?

not if your behind a router and I don't give it external access, I just access it within my onw lan and I also have a software firewall on it so I'm not that worried.

laptopdude! you were cranking out some great numbers, what happened? I don't know about everyone else, but I m running the client on everything from a P3-600 all teh way up to 3.2 P4's! And I have had almost no problems! This new client that we have been running has been very stable and flexible! We need more members actively crunching! Let's go team TADF!

Did anyone answer what the difference is?

Is there some kind of application for FOLDING@HOME that allows me to view current stats on all my machines so that I don't have to manually check on them? I saw one for SETI, I think it was called SETIWatch. It's a pain having to do it manually every time and by manually, I mean setting up a shortcut to the logfile_01.txt for each machine.

Thanks,

You might try THIS fahstats program for F@H. It has a slick Summary feature that can grab the info from other machines on your LAN. In the Settings tab of the fahstats program you specify the share name and folder that you have F@H installed in, for example: "Quiet","\\Quiet\F@H\". I have been unable to get fahstats to read from my Linux box, but my 3 other Windows machines are no problem. Note this is for F@H, not Distributed Folding.......

That is exactly what I was looking for. Thank you for the info.

I would say I have to agree with onelin0 im doing seti and my next move is to folding, but TeAm has gotta beat BBR and get in the top 5! We're in 7th and going to crush HP now we just need to crush BBR! As soon as SETI is over i think Folding will see a ton of us 3000+ SETI Members here!

Thanks Crazy Saint! I was trying to generate more interest IN TADF, and it looks like I did! Laptopdude should pass a million today!XPBlackdragon hit 30 mill over the weekend.

It looks like some of our inactive members cruched a few over the weekend:
ATWE LastKnight, GhettoFob, and cooper76. I don't think they understand the points. THe first few generations do not give you a whole lot of points, from Gen 0 you get 50 points, once you get all the way up to gen 250 it's worth 790 points! So the longer you crunch and the higher the generations the more points!

From an Athlon 2600XP I am getting about 240k a day in points. Since Friday it has generated 700K!

Let's go people we need more crunchers!

790x2 the 790 is for when the gens were 50 structures; now since each gen is 100 structures the points changed to reflect that. on dfGUI, on the points tab you can change the number of structures to 100 and it gives you the correct number of points each gen is worth.

the difference in the points is because we are doing 100 structures per generation instead of the 50 we were doing! Makes a big difference. Look slike I should be able to dump about 2 million tomorrow and let the machines take a break till Wedsnesday afternoon with the new protein!

watch my results over the next day or so, what you are seeing is a dump off a 733 and my 2800XP, and this is off of just 2 machines!

i cannot for the life of me figure out what is wrong.
it was on par before the reformat/reinstall is whats bugging me. now my maketraj usr time is so high. its over 2 seconds when at stock speeds it was .356 or something like that.
