That said - I won't be modding the car in any way concerning power - it's under warranty, and it's meager 160hp is plenty for me. I've been looking at some possible exterior upgrades - right now I'm fond of the current S2000's wheels, along with the Type-R spoiler that came on the car overseas.

haha, yeah, I meant in all regards including cosmetic, audio, etc. Well, enjoy your new car. Hopefully you don't empty out your wallet having fun with it.

Yeah, I posted a pic on here awhile back of my black 97 civic with black slipstreams and got flamed to hell. All i have on their is a lip, wheels and basic bolt ons.

Looks nice as long as you dont mod it! I totally agree with the anti-mod people in this thread! and please whatever you do dont drive laying down in the back seat! It doesn't make you cool!

Right.....

Seriously, to each his own.

There's nothing 'each' or individual abut doing anything to a Civic.

Still, if you leave it mainly as is, it seems like a nice car that should be good on fuel.

I've always wondered how affective the positioning of the stick is in those cars...with it being where the radio is.

How does that feel when shifting? easier, more difficult?

That is my favorite civic hatch, if I had the money I would buy it, I love the shifter in the dash. I have a 1998 with significant modifications. The mods aren't what you would think though. I now can break 50 mpg on a weekly basis!

Ryan - Congrats, now get some pics up!

Did you pull your audio equipment out of the Scion or was it part of the trade in?

Pic for reference (not my car - but same color and bodystyle): 2004 Civic Si

I just spent two hours driving it home, and I'm very satisfied - seems to be a very solid car with some spunk Everyone hates the hatchback style, but I love it.

I know you don't want to hear this because I know you hear it every time you bring up your ride, but seriously, I'd ditch the xB for a wooden pallet with office chair wheels.

It's perfect - much easier in that position

I've grown to like them, but more importantly, have respect for them. They get insanely great gas mileage and honestly, if I had to get one, it would be an xB. It has plenty of space and gets great gas mileage. My friends and family would give me an odd look everytime I stepped into or out of the car, but that's a different story

I always felt like I was going to rip the lever right off if I shifted with any manner of speed.
