Boring. We need some right-wing fundamentalists to come in here and fire things up!

I believe in their final acceptance speech they basically said people have spoken with their votes... not so much a meaning of "yes we're the best" but more like "people agree with our message".
Correction, the people who vote on these awards are others within the music industry, not the consumer.
Popularly recognized voting members include Jon Bon Jovi, Prince, Paul Simon, and Beyoncé Knowles.

Yeah, that was awesome. When the US is behind the war, the Dixie Chicks get nothing. When the US is against the war, the Dixie Chicks get every award they can.

I personally think it was a decent album but the Grammy voters totally sold out in the name of making a political statement.
Plus, I totally hate Natalie Maines for being absolutely fug and louder than the loudest redneck.
Are the Grammys even relevant anymore? Have they EVER been a reflection of the thoughts of consumers?

Wow... if you didn't already know the grammys were full of it, I guess here's your wakeup call. How many did britney spears win?
I always get the sense that Grammy voters are 70 year olds voting for who they perceive to be cool and hip, or for the act that offends their sensibilities the least. Or maybe for the only name out of the 5 that they actually recognize. They really like it if you're a bit of a throwback in terms of musical/vocal style.Originally posted by: Dolorous Dave
