I wonder who the target audience for this will be, considering the people who played earlier DN games have to be in nursing homes by now.
There better be multiplayer and there better be jet-packs...or I'll be seriously pissed.

The market is saturated with serious military shooters, it'll be a breathe of fresh air playing an irreverent game full of piss and sex jokes. Duke3D was great, I remember I was like 17 at the time and had a total blast playing over modem connection (Mplayer and TEN anyone?). Glad I never grew out of crass humor

Gearbox did a great job with Borderlands, which in my opinion is one of the most underrated games out there, so I have faith that they'll be able to deliver the humor.
Agreed. Though only to the first part, as I have no interest in playing such a boring looking game.Gameplay looks pretty standard (boring), graphics are meh at best, but I'm still looking forward to it .. a change of pace from the standard "realistic" war shooters and it should be enjoyable for nostalgia's sake at the very least.
and that was Broussard's problem.. it doesn't HAVE to be the best looking game, it's freaking Duke Nukem... it's like Serious Sam, but far more nostalgic (for me).DNF was in development hell for so long because George Broussard kept insisting it use the latest and greatest engine. He kept putting graphics over gameplay. It HAD to be the best looking game at the time of release.
I think the Duke is going to bomb big time. Expectations are pretty high for it. But, I think if you go in expecting it to be a run-of-the-mill shooter, it'll will probably be decent enough.

I am expecting mindless alien blasting. I miss those. I hope I am not disappointed.
Of course, I'm in the camp of wanting a full Doom 2 remake in today's gaming engines, heh.
