Dnf release date

I never played the first but i started gaming in 1998 and have been awaiting this title ever since then. Granted like most people I thought it would never come out 9 of those 12 years.

I wonder who the target audience for this will be, considering the people who played earlier DN games have to be in nursing homes by now.

I played Duke Nukem 3D for the first time 2 months ago, and I loved it. It holds up pretty well, surprisingly.

I spent so much freaking time play the original back on TEN with buddies. I wish I still had contact info for those guys. I'd love to hook up and get some games in.

I'm really hoping they release an SDK and people remake some old maps too.

Duke3D was great, I remember I was like 17 at the time and had a total blast playing over modem connection (Mplayer and TEN anyone?). Glad I never grew out of crass humor

Gearbox did a great job with Borderlands, which in my opinion is one of the most underrated games out there, so I have faith that they'll be able to deliver the humor.

p.s. don't you know pretty much EVERYTHING coming out now is rehash/sequel/prequel/reimagining/reboot of stuff 20 years ago?

Gameplay looks pretty standard (boring), graphics are meh at best, but I'm still looking forward to it .. a change of pace from the standard "realistic" war shooters and it should be enjoyable for nostalgia's sake at the very least.

This, T&A, a game that isn't taking itself seriously and can make jokes at it's own expense? Yes please.

PC is the only way (granted the forum this was posted in) consoles will be toned down to avoid Adult rating.

I'm seriously stoked for this, and I'm already prepared to hand over my money for pre-order. The trailer is makes me excited.

For those who are talking about it being "another generic FPS with average graphics": Shut up. Is it going to revolutionize gaming? No. Of course it's not. It's fucking Duke Nukem. It's about having fun. I want it to be fun. And for Duke, that means being a cocky chauvinistic hero blasting aliens, blowing through strip clubs, making dick jokes, and pissing on stuff. What was the last game you played that let you do that?

DNF was in development hell for so long because George Broussard kept insisting it use the latest and greatest engine. He kept putting graphics over gameplay. It HAD to be the best looking game at the time of release.

I think the Duke is going to bomb big time. Expectations are pretty high for it. But, I think if you go in expecting it to be a run-of-the-mill shooter, it'll will probably be decent enough.

The graphics definitely leave something to be desired in the trailer, but oh well. It will looks fun.

Yup, the original Duke3D was Graphically outdated when released, but it's greatness was the Gameplay. No game has come close to matching its' sheer fun factor.

Eh... I'm excited it's finally coming out, but one, I've waited for so long I can wait another 6 months until it hits bargain bins, and two, it better not have any copy protection, otherwise they get no sale.

I got a really strong console game play vibe from that trailer but if it is half decent and at is at least 10 hours of game play I am in.
