Two Win 2k3 R2 domain controllers running DHCP.
I have a close co-worker who has a laptop that he uses via VPN, and in the office. Problem is, he goes home and connects to the VPN, and his VPN address gets registered in DNS.
He comes to work and docks his laptop and gets an internal IP address, but that address is not updated to DNS.
"Ipconfig /registerdns" updates the entry, but I am trying to find the right solution to this problem, not the duct tape variety. This is a daily problem it seems. He also went home again yesterday, and the DNS entry was updated. He gets to the office, and it still will not update.
Windows 7 client (though it may not be limited to those alone), Win 2k3 R2 DHCP/DNS server.
Any ideas?
