My dad's dad's mom and his dad's parents all came from Slovenia; they still have bits of an accent. Others are from England and Ireland but from further back.

This subject is discussed in my family but it only leads to frustration. My mother was adopted and there is absolutely no information concerning her birth parents. I have relatives on her side of the family that I am in contact with, but I feel strangely disconnected from them.

Everyone in America is the decedent of native Bulgarians that emigrated in the 1310s.

I know my heritage is Irish, but who the hell cares? I am an american and that's how I view my life. I don't care wtf my irish catholic roots tell me to do, and i'm not going to force my children to grow up irish catholic. nor am I going to go through hoops to try and figure out our geneology. Those who cling to the past/their heritage/stereotypes against others/wrongdoings against their houses/etc. need to just get the hell over it. Look how well all that shit has gotten along in the middle east!

I can tell you my name and where I was born, my father's name and where he was born, his father's name and where he was born, his father's name and where he was born, his father's name and where he was born, etc...

stop me when I get to the 15th century...

Yup, but I'm not American. I'm 75% French, of which 50% is direct from France, and 25% mix. In that 25% is English, German, Czech and a few other countries that I don't know about.

The only percentage I know for sure is 12.5% Polish. I know I have more German in me than that, and pretty sure more French as well.
My dad's side, through his dad, traces back to Benjamin Franklin's family (back to Ben's dad, from his first marriage. Ben was a child of the second marriage.. so one of Ben's half-brothers is my direct ancestor)... so the family name traces back to England obviously. Have a little bit of Native American (Iroquois?) as well (little bit here means like 1.5%).

Mine too! Well, came over on the Mayflower anyway. Don't know about the baby bit.

I'm Irish/Italian with some other random stuff thrown in. I'm prob 40/40 Irish/Italian and the other 20% is a mix of a bunch of different stuff I can't remember.

I'm Scottish, Irish, French, and some small amount of Native American. I have absolutely no interest in my "roots". I'm of American culture.

On mom's side, British.
Dad's side = Russian/German

yep, kind of.. i know on my dad's side it's irish and norwegian, and on my mothers side i dont know a whole lot besides that they are hispanic, from mexico 2 generations ago, but i dont know exactly what kind of hispanic they are.... there lighter skinned than most hispanics, but you can still see the hispanic in them, and we got crazy eye coler combinations from that side, green eyes, blue eyes, hazel..

when people ask i just say im half mexican/ half white..

i ended up really lightskinned, and my daughter is even more light skinned (wife is white), im light skinned enough people sometimes dont even realize im hispanic, i've been mistaken for middle-eastern too, dont know how they figured that lol...but yeah i ended up with light skin, maybe a shade darker than most caucasians, but not brown like most hispanics, brown hair, green eyes...

it seems like maybe we're built like brazilian folks the most from what i've seen, broad shoulders, medium height (5'10), and stocky but lean build... (im 200lbs, but im not like round looking, im lean looking but with a big chest and big shoulders...

I think a lot do.

I'm 1/2 Irish, 1/4 German, and 1/4 Spanish. My wife's family is completely English (both parents are from English decent).

Oddly my last name is very English (even though it comes from my Irish side).

All I know is that my ancestors must have been whores because as far as I can tell I'm a mutt. I have some German, French, and Italian on top of a pinch of 1 or 2 tribes of Native American (but not enough to get any free college money). It's so scattered I never bothered finding out where everybody came from exactly.

I'm an European mix....50% Polish, 25% Swiss and 25% German. Nearly all of my relatives are from the Midwest...so that's more of my culture of anything.

The rest is a mix of French and Scotsman
About 1/8 Cheyenne from my dad's side
The rest is a mix of Russian and German. (we think)

Jest a good ol American Mutt with some blanket-ass ancestry.
(I spent 2 summers as a youth on the res in South Dakota...VERY eye-opening...
