Not really, but I ran my own "pc repair" company which turned out to be a lot more work than anticipated of course. My experience was that I had to work many more hours to make the same amount of money than what I make at regular jobs, assuming I do everything myself. Everyone I've known who has run their own similar company has had similar experiences. Don't feel like working 70+hrs/week to make the equivalent of working a normal job.

Wrong forum for sure, but IMO it's not really worth it unless you have a sick business plan and some dependable people to help you grow it so you aren't basically screwed.

Yes, I do. I don't do just PC repairs (hate them.) Design, consulting, sales, and lots of medical practices. Reselling software and hardware is great, as is providing continuing support. This is a "side job" and my sales should be around $750K to $1m this year. Last year my sales were just over $750K. I like to keep my profit margin around 50% of gross.

Lucrative business. Stay away from personal computer work. Fixing the stay-at-home mom's laptop is not fun, rewarding, or lucrative by any means.

Very nice. Owning the company yourself, instead of just working for it... that's a whole other level of earning cash.

I owned and operated an ISP back in the day when dial-up was the best we could hope for. Come to think of it, dial-up is still the best they have in that area. Gave it up after three long years.

Now I run a technology website. Does that count?
