I do. In fact, I use all thumscrews for my pc (except for floppy and CD drives, since the thread is different.) I'm just too lazy to use a screwdriver when I wanna change the drives or add-on cards.

I agree with QTPie... I use them on all my PC's and PC's that I build that are not screw-less..

My previous employer was going to throw away 2 packages that had about 500 of each of the floppy and hard drive screws.. He was mad because they were "thumb type" and could not be used with a screwdriver that he had purchased with the screws. He was told by the salesperson on the phone that he needed this special screwdriver to mount the screws...hahaha

That's probably one of the reasons I left the company.....

Never really liked the idea of Thumbscrews for the drives. I normally build systems for others and I always use Thumbscrews for the case but stand screws for cards and drives. Not a real security feature but normally I can tell what has been messed with when they call me over for help

I never realized how annoying it was to install drives until I got an Inwin case some years ago that had drive rails. "Cooool," I thought.
Still had to screw the rails to the drive but that was much faster than removing the drive cage and attaching the drive to the cage.

Then a couple years later I got another Inwin case with drive rails but this time the rails didn't need to be screwed in. They had little
"nubs" where the screw holes were normally. All you have to do is slap the two rails on the drive and slide it into the cage. No screws.
Maybe these rails were simply defective but whatever the case, they rock.
