All these movies and 24 talk about assassinating presidents, do they hold any practicality in real life?
They're just figure heads and VP will take over with same agenda. The military generals and cabinet members run the actual country anyway. The symbolic assault piss them off more than producing a real strategic value.
What do you think? Something I've always wanted to get off my chest.
There was lots of threats against Bush and even a play about killing "a president", but dont cross the Obammunists!
LBJ had JFK shot, as did Jefferson against Hamilton (via proxy of Burr). I'm sure there are others too.
P&N?
I would have taken a day off of work and celebrated if the president of the United States was assassinated between January 20, 2001 and January 20, 2009. And I am not even joking. I would have been sorry for the family but happy for the USA. So, to me anyways it would have meant something.
Your type of extremism that would wish upon and enjoy the death of another for whatever reason is why free speech is not even an issue when it comes to prosecuting those who make threats against a former or sitting president. Seriously, how messed up in the head do you have to be to say something like that?
So you wish that Hitler had been gifted with immortality?
Your powers of logical deduction are astounding.
holy shit. whatever happened to "free speech"? if the guy had started plans for an assassination after posting that message, I could understand, but...
Obama's got a great life insurance policy. His name's Biden.
