Those could certainly be client-side device specific issues; especially considering the source (a console forum).

I would think that except for that fact that both my friend and I have no such issues connecting to our XBox wirelessly with D-Link routers. The issue with my GF was using the XBMC FTP, which is the same one I was using when I transferred 4 GBs with no drops.

Another vote for D-Link sucks.

I will never purchase another one of their products.

I'm only using a router from them, and it drops wireless connection all the time. Garbage.

Using my wireless D'Link 614 in wired mode ... no issues at all. Previously I had an SMC Barricade which was a pleasure to admin. I had it stealthed to the point where I passed all the GRC Shields Up tests and received a perfect score. My D'Link, on the other hand, had been just flat out horrible to admin and I find myself struggling to close ports that were easy to find on the SMC. Now the SMC I had for years and knew where every setting was .. the D'Link is just not that intuitive. It performs as expected, but again I have not used it in wireless mode.

The New DGL gamer ones are pwnage D link products

I have the Adapter and DGL-3300? router and I never get disconnected and no lag at ALL

My transfer rate is 100mps! same as my comcast cable upstairs Im so happy with it.

But it is a bit pricey the router is 143.50$ and the adapter is 99.50$ but the user interface is much easier and it is the most reliable strongest wireless networking devices I have ever used.

All of my DLink stuff has worked great over the last few years. Only thing that didn't work well was their Bluetooth adapter. I think they revised it since then. I like Dlink more than Linksys or Netgear.

Yea, my d-link router resets my network connection frequently for no apparent reason, gets extremely frustrating.

Guess I'm having luck with my D-Link stuff.

I have Extreme G router, PCI card, PCfor the Extreme G, a PCMCIA card and I connect through the wired port.
I have had ZERO problems. The range is much better than the linksys router which kept droping my wireless clients.
The wired ports haven't had any issues. I guess I better knock on wood.

My only complains have been that their DYNDNS updater has not manual timeout. Meaning the only time it sents
something to dyndns is when your IP address changes. If it doesn't they won't update it, it would be nice if it had
a timeout to update your IP address so dyndns doesn't think your inactive and deactivate your account, if your IP
address hasn't changed in 25 days.

Besides that I haven't had any problems.

I have same setup and have an extra wired D-Link in the mix and have never had a problem.
