Just as the topic states. I am wondering about this because I am about to build a Shuttle XPC, namely the SB51G. I am currently deciding between Crucial PC2700, or Corsair PC2700 XMS. Now heres the tricky part, the Crucial does not have heat spreaders on the memory, but Corsairs do. Shuttle XPC's are heat prone, so I need the coolest possible solution. My question I guess simply is: Will the heat spreaders help in the cooling, or are they more hype? The cost of 1 stick of 512MB Corsair XMS is almost twice of the of the Crucial, so money does factor in. BTW, I am going to be using this computer for Photoshop as well as Counterstrike, Warcraft, the usual gaming, and the computer will be on 3-6 hours at a time. All insights will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you all in advance.
