Do I lose man-points for going to a tanning salon?

It's funny when I mow the lawn and have my shirt off, amazing all the moms in our court
seem to want to talk to each other all huddled together outside pretending to not look at me, they make it so blatantly obvious I find it funny

Seems tanning beds just about as bad as being out in the sun, if you overdo it. Skin cancer, FTL.

Having lost a sister less than 6 months ago, due to melanoma, I'd have to suggest you play it smart, and forget the tan.

The National Institutes of Health strongly warns people not to use tanning beds on a regular basis, if at all. That's because the lamps in the beds give out UVA, and frequently UVB, rays in concentrated doses.

Verghese says tanning beds are part of the reason many young people are now being diagnosed with skin cancer.

"It almost accelerates the total UV radiation," he said. "So people manifest these skin cancers at a much earlier age."

It's your life, but personally, I'd rather be pasty and old, than tanned and dead! :shocked:

Naw man, just tell them you took off your shirt because its soaked with sweat from doing strenuous work all day in the hot sun. You know, from doing manly activities like felling trees, building shit with power tools, or laying down asphalt.
