Hi,
I'm starting to put together a new system to replace my old Core 2 box, and I'm looking at buying a Xeon E3-1240V2 because it's cheaper than the equivalent i7 and I don't need the Intel GPU. However, I want to pair it up with a Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UD5H mobo which doesn't support ECC RAM and I'm unsure whether the Xeon E3s require ECC or not. Can anyone give me a definitive answer?
Thanks!
