In order for a mosquito to be legally drunk, it must have a blood alcohol level in excess of .1% and actually be caught in flight. This is uncommon but not unheard of because in order to raise it's blood alcohol to that limit, owing to dilution of the donner's blood with the insect's body fluids, the moles of alcohol in the blood food must exceed .2% as a function of 50/50 body mass to blood suck ratio.
