Please read this thread in AT Hot deals section (now locked) about this website.
First they named it www.tallinlaptop.com, then they changed it to tallinlaptops.com and then to tallinlaptops.net.
Check out the VeriSign Secure site logo on their site. It links to a page hosted on www.tallinlaptops.net when the link should point to a page on https://digitalid.verisign.com
Check out the "VeriSign Secure site Click to Verify" logo on www.verisign.com. This is what they say at the end of the page that pops up.
To ensure that this is a legitimate VeriSign Secure Site, make sure that:
1. The original URL of the site you are visiting comes from WWW.VERISIGN.COM.
2. The URL of this page is https://digitalid.verisign.com.
3. The status of the Server ID is Valid.
None of their pages are secure so how can they get certification from VeriSign?
Check out the About Us page. They say they accept only wire transfers and do not accept credit cards insisting that credit cards use is not safe over the internet. This is absolute bullshit. We all know any of the credit card companies Amex, MasterCard, Visa and Discover will give us full refunds for fradulent charges on our cards.
English they use on the site is all screwed up (first sign that something's fishy).
I don't have anything personal against this site. But the fact that they are using VeriSign Secure Site logo and links to Red Cross ( at the top on the home page)to fool customers into doing business with them is really maddening. Please be careful when you purchase from them.
