Do people buy scanners nowadays?

Fuck my HP All-in-one 3210 inkjet printer that i paid $200 for back in 2006 with my "employee discount"! all the ink cartridges are timed to expire, and when they do, i can't even scan. Never EVER buying another HP printer again.

Canon does this too. Run out of one of the ink colors ? Well the scanner will stop working too !

I've always had scanners. Started with B&W Mustek (?) one that was handheld. I eventually got a Epson flatbed. I still have it but I haven't used it in a very long time. What I have now, that I use all the time, is a Fujitsu ScanSnap. It's amazing and let's me make copies of documents, statements, manuals, etc really easily. It scans both sides at the same time, is really really fast, does OCR, auto rotate, color, etc. And it's always ready to go. Press a button and it starts scanning.

Haha I had one of those Mustek scanners. Bigger than most computers and used a SCSI interface with its included ISA card. Stopped using it when Win 2000 came out as it was not compatible.
