it isn't just age, it is experience

after going through more and more "crisis" , you get over things more easily

you realize a lot of stuff isn't such a big deal, since you'll be dead soon enough

Sure! Once you cry over something once, you aren't as likely to cry over it the second time. I'm sure the same thing happens with happiness too.

No. They have just seen crap like it and know it is not such a big deal as it looks.

I wouldn't say I've gotten less emotional. I've never been overly emotional but I am still moved by certain things. The birth of my son was probably the most emotional I've ever been in my life...much moreso than my wedding.

So, no. You don't get less emotional as you age.

i do think i've gotten more emotional with age about certain things and less emotional about others. i guess it's really where you are in life and what you're experiencing.
