I have a weird thing about onions and peppers. I can only eat them if they don't over power the food like burger meat cooked with onion or any mayo based salad with onion. Stuff like that.

I don't mind JITB's mayo-onion sauce, or something cooked with some onion powder... I even like Fun-Yun's but I can't stand eating onions or having onions on anything...

Yes. My parents-in-law are Chinese (I'm white) and they will never touch non-chinese food. Drives me crazy. Every fucking night.....guess what's for dinner? Rice rice rice rice....and more fucking rice.

Myself, I'm quite picky when it comes to vegies but otherwise I'm ok.

Yes, it's incredibly annoying, my friend's gf is this way. For example, we were talking about pizza toppings or something one time, and olives came up, she said olives are nasty, I said they're good and asked when she last tried them, her response... never tried them... WTF? She's like that with everything, how the fuck do you live like that?

I hated the shit of tomatoes when I was a kid. I'm still not a fan of just easting a tomato alone. It has more to do with texture than taste. I would reflexively gag and choke on them as a kid, to the point my parents had to perform the Heimlich on me once. They never insisted I eat them after that.

I think the better question is to ask who isn't picky at eating. I'm pretty much the only person I know who will eat anything. As long as the food is eatable and I won't die or get sick from eating it, I will definitely want to try it. The only problem is that in the US, there really isn't that big of a variety of foods that people can eat and that probably accounts for why people are so picky. They just don't know any better and have a shit pallet. Thats probably why people who come here from other countries hate our food so much. All we have is chicken, beef, "fish", and vegetables.

I am a picky eater. I just know by looking at food whether I will enjoy it or not - I'm right 95% of the time. Carrot cake was something I thought would taste bad but ended up being good.

That being said, I like to customize my orders, whether it be Taco Bell or Ruth's Chris. I'm not JUST getting what they offer, I'm putting a little scorpious in it and making it my own.

Though my relationship with food is tenuous. In 2001: A Space Odyssey, they had meal pills.
I would absolutely love something like that so I wouldn't have to be bothered with eating, or food preparation. It's more of an annoyance than anything.

I like tomato sauce like good spaghetti sauce, pizza sauce, etc...
But I don't like tomatoes.... and ketchup is the last resort condiment for me... I don't dislike it, but it's pretty pointless. (on the other hand, mustard is vile and makes me want to vomit) BBQ sauce, ranch, etc. is the new generation of condiments.
