That's what the printserver is for......
It's just a small little box that facilitates printing without a cable. It usually has a power brick to plug in, and you can get the printservers with either parallel or USB depending on the printer itself.
There are also non-wireless Print servers that allow you to use Ethernet/CAT5 to USB/parallel for printing.
You are going to spend in the neighborhood of $100++ for a wireless printserver of any kind. You will then need to figure out the networking end of it - which is fairly simple, but for a newbie can seem complex up front.
802.11 b is just the defacto mainstream wireless networking spec out there on the market today. Just about any wireless router or access point you buy or already have will support it.
