The local supermarket is an amazing source of anecdotes sometimes. Today, while I was shopping there, I was pushing my cart past a black lady who was complaining to a store employee that there was no brown talcum powder on the shelves, only white one. She said that it is discriminatory and that she was from Detroit and that in this city they do sell brown talcum powder. She even said that brown sugar was invented at the request of African Americans. All through this, the employee was politely nodding with a 'yeahhhhhh riiiiiiiiiiight' look in his eyes.
That was so funny but I had to keep going because I was afraid that she might start to rant about my white shirt.
/Methinks that a simpleton escaped the US for a visit to Canada but one can never be sure what weird products are sold in another country. Afterall, a good proportion of American AnandTechers thought that Canadian milk bags are weird.
So...Do you guys really sell brown talcum powder? I never saw any in 6 months in southern Oregon in the mid 80s. But then again I did not see many black people there either.:Q
