do u guys remember CA scholarshare program, where the CA government gave you money for college for doing well on APs?

If you guys remember the scholarshare program, where you get money for doing well on AP tests.

It says that you can use the money for paying for school expenses such as books, rent, etc. Do you guys know how one goes about doing that?

If anyone has done it, please let me know how you do it.

hmm is there any way to get the money directly, becase i have a shcolarship at school that pays for a fraction of my tuition and i have to pay the rest. If that scholarshare money went direclty to my school then it woudl basically just lower the amoutn of money that i alreayd recieve so it still just adds up the same fraction - so it donest help me at all.

Is there any other way

The CA scholarshare program was for getting qualifying scores on the CAT-6 statewide testing program. If you got qualifying scores, you get $1k.

There's also the CA math/science scholar program where you need to get a 5 on both AP Bio and Calc and you get $3k.

Unfortunately the program ended when the Governator was erected and I only got $1k =(

edit: And I'm interested as to how I can use the money too . Does the bookstore count? I want my mac mini + ipod.

it stopped in 2002. After arnold came. we dont get any $$$. I wouldve gotten $3500 for my tests already.

yea cool i got that form but the question was even though it says that it qualifies for rent and books, can you just fill in your name and your own address for where it asks where you want the money sent?

Yeah, I got 2K from the scholarshare program. Let it cook for a while, so actually ended up being something like 2200. And it wasn't for the APs, it was for the STAR tests.

No, they will verify the address/institution if it is valid and acreddited and stuff. I would have done that a long time ago. Imagine all the gay...nevermind.
