My Accord: Lara, because my friends were ribbing me about how I hadn't named it when it was clearly my baby and I had to come up with something. No, it's not named after Lara Croft.

My Porsche: Lorelei, named after a siren in Teutonic (German) myth who lured sailors to their deaths. Figured it was appropriate for a project car. (Also referred to as "The Little Bastard", in honor of the name James Dean gave to his 550 Spyder.)

My Motorcycle: "The Bike", no special name for the CB450SC yet. Maybe something like "vehicle with perpetually dead battery".

My family's Suburban (no hatred about misused SUV's please, we use it to pull a horse trailer among other things) is typically known as The Tank. My car, on the rare occasions that I talk to it, usually long trips, is Gidget. The high school youth group I'm from named all the vehicles, from Grace (the van that only got places 'by the grace of God'), White Knight, Hot Tamale, Blue Leader, to Cobra. Lots of others.
