Hayden Christiansen showed promise but the Star Wars prequels pretty much destroyed his career.

Daniel Radcliff has branched out well though I think he still risks getting type cast.

maybe not, maybe he'll rise again, although I must say, if i had a chance to act in Star Wars knowing it will be my last film, I'd do it

Child star, they never make it big... sorry, he's a goner...

Tom Hardy is an excellent actor. When I first saw him in Warrior I was like holy shit this dude can act. Movie was kinda meh and he played his part so well that he blew everyone else off the screen.

Radcliff was great in The Woman In Black. I think he could shake the Harry Potter typecast if he continues to work outside of that fantasy genre. His performances are very believable, check out TWiB if you haven't seen it, it is very good.

Hayden was far too pretentious in Star Wars and I can never wipe the image of him as a whiny douchebag out of my mind. Not to mention his delivery of his lines was terrible throughout most of those movies, just very awkward and forced.

You should see Bronson.

I dont think any of that was his fault..everyone's lines seems awkward and forced in those movies.

As far as future leading men stars in the vein of Pitt and Cruise, probably Hemsworth, the guy who played Cpt America is pretty good, oh and Channing Tatum seems to be very popular right now as well.

I could also see the Alexander Skarsgard joining the A list if he gets the right roles. He is great on True Blood.

Tom Hardy.
Bingo.

Uh, what? He is 35 and was decent in Lawless, but nothing memorable after that. Are you are talking about his role as Bane? He didnt speak a word during that movie, he had a mask on the entire time...ANYONE could have played that part.

He was excellent in Bronson, Inception, Lawless, and Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy.

I think Bill Hader and Andy Samberg have a good chance of doing very well in comedy.

Joseph Gordon-Levitt will be huge in the future

This.

Other than that, I've really grown to like Chris Pine - good in Star Trek, good in Unstoppable, and he really surprised me in People Like Us. And he's only 32.

DiCaprio is only 38, he's got a lot of acting years left in him. Probably my favorite actor in the last 5-6 years.

he was ok in lawless, great in warrior and bronson, good in tdkr. the real test was when he was in nemesis - a true turd movie but he was still good in it.

oh, he was also great as the gay gangster guy in rocknrolla (still want a sequel for that dammit!).

Will Smith and Adam Sandler must have been included as a joke.

I wouldn't call DiCaprio up and coming...he's already on the top tier list imo.

Yeah, I can agree with you on that. He's only going to get better though unless he goes nuts like Johnny Depp.

Edit-Holy crap, how did I miss Adam Sandler on that list, he's a horrible actor.

Who do we have to replace Samuel L Jackson?
I'm pretty sure Samuel L Jackson is the inspiration for Benjamin Button. I was watching Jurassic Park this weekend and Jackson looks older in that than he has in any role for the last 10 years (except maybe Black Snake Moan).

Unless you enjoy a movie trying to constantly startle you, then The Woman in Black is not for you. Honestly, I'm really tired of movies trying to bill themselves as horror, and they're really just a bunch of scenes setup to startle you with maybe one small scene that actually seems like it belongs in a horror film. Mostly, I just hate being startled -- it's not scary, it's irritating.

However, I didn't have any qualms with his performance in the movie, and I thought the ending was... interesting.

I'll throw Ryan Gosling out there since I thought he did well in "Half Nelson" and "Blue Valentine". And I actually liked "Drive", but I know it's one of those movies you either like or really, really hate.

Yeah, I was thinking the same... or Denzel Washington, no rising black stars???

I forgot Morgan Freeman as well. It's hard to imagine any up and coming actors being able to come close.

It doesn't help that there haven't been a lot of great movies the last decade either.
