My husband has been losing some hair since his late teens and I can't say that it bothered me when we started dating or now. He is tall and blonde so that helps as not many people can see the top of his head, and the light color helps. I cut his hair using #3, #4, and #5 guards. Baldness is less noticeable when the hair is shorter.

I'm sure some woman probably would make a big deal out of baldness but I don't really understand why as most men seem to lose some hair later in life so it's bound to happen eventually.

Wow, sorry. You're right.

The guy is the epitome of style:
- Oversized, blue/green square patterned dress shirt with sleeves lazilly rolled up 2 or 3 folds. Check.
- Black dress shirt with black t-shirt. Check.
- A grey, zipped up amost fully, hoody with an orange t-shirt under a light blue, clearly bastardized, suit jacket and either khakis or jeans. Check.
- Oversized maroon coloured striped sweater or hoody ontop of a matching maroon-coloured t-shirt. Check.

Fashionably metrosexual incarnate.

I wouldn't care as much if he wasn't over 40 and trying to look "hip". He also is clearly some sort of presenter/"more public" figure so it wasn't laziness that made him dress the way he did - no, he was probably trying to make a statement or be "hip": hence, douchey. Lazy or "not knowing better" I can live with.

How you turned that personal, I don't know. But as the forum troll, more power to you.

You saying you don't care how you look or dress is going to be one of the biggest turnoffs to anyone.

Some will, some won't, although I'd venture that most would either initially fall into the latter category, or could eventually move into it if they like other things about you (e.g., personality and sense of humor).

What most will be turned off by is if you let the thinning hair significantly reduce your confidence, and/or if you become obsessed with it and keep talking about your hair with them.

It depends on your headshape. Some people look good bald, some have a large forehead and look strange.

F***ing genetics, how do they work?

noticed i was going bald in middle school (not kidding), and was noticeable enough in high school, that i gave up on hair in 10th grade and started shaving it.

People get used to it, and youll get used to it too. One reason it might look weird the first time you EVER shave your head is the sun has never touched it (maybe some bald spots got some, but not much). Once your skin tone evens out after a few weeks just from random small amounts of sun exposure (not tanning, or even being outside for extended periods of time), itll look more natural.

Right now im 26 and barely have anything left on top. I wake up every day and just quicky shave whats on the sides, which only takes like a minute as long as i do it everyday. Dont mind it at all, even if i hair a full head of hair, i would never go back to having long hair. Id probably just shave less out of pure laziness. Right now if i let it go it looks bad since my hair is so dense on the sides. Even after i shave you can still kinda see my hair line.

Personally i think it looks fine. You do kinda get thrown into that bald guy category, and people love trying to compare you to other famous bald people. (vin deisel, jason statham, etc, and theres nothing wrong with that!)

Whenever someone sees an old picture of me with hair all they talk about is how weird it looks, so it just takes a few days/weeks for you and everyone else to get used to it.

This is just getting funny... The way you twist words (or put in entire sentences that were never there).

It's hot. Yum.

Oh. My. Gawd. It's a corporate directive... I apologize to Mr. Allard. For shame MSFT.

Some women who don't know you (blind date types)....might care. They want to start a family and are thinking of genes (though it's ignorant as genes is a crapshoot).

If you already have a gal that loves you, then it shouldn't be a big deal to her. If she starts caring (and you keep that shit short)...then you're with the wrong lady.

Regardless, keep that hair short. No fuzz, lose strands or combovers.

Women care more about your weight, socioeconomic status than your head--by far.

If she does then you really don't need to waste your time on her. There are plenty of quality women out there who aren't shallow to such a ridiculous extent.
