It is a yes or no question. Do you believe in God, or not.

Why do you want to know? Are you really questioning your own faith, or mine? And my answer is both yes and no, which you don't allow for so I did not vote. And here is why:

I believe if there ever was a conscious GOD, He became the universe when it was born, during the big bang and all that. Which is referred to as Pandeism. So God is not a conscious being as we perceive human consciousness, therefore praying and worshiping to Him is about as useful as praying to an anthill for salvation and redemption.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pandeism

Pandeism (or pan-deism) is a theological doctrine which combines aspects of pantheism and deism.[1] It holds that the creator of the universe actually became the universe, and so ceased to exist as a separate and conscious entity.[2][3][4][5] Pandeism is proposed to explain, as it relates to deism, why God would create a universe and then abandon it,[6] and as to pantheism, the origin and purpose of the universe.[6][7]

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pantheism

Pantheism is the belief that the universe (or nature as the totality of everything) is identical with divinity,[1] or that everything composes an all-encompassing, immanent God.[2] Pantheists thus do not believe in a distinct personal or anthropomorphic god.[3] Some Eastern religions are considered to be pantheistically inclined.
Pantheism was popularized in the West as both a theology and philosophy based on the work of the 17th-century philosopher Baruch Spinoza,[4].7 whose book Ethics was an answer to Descartes' famous dualist theory that the body and spirit are separate.[5] Spinoza held the monist view that the two are the same, and monism is a fundamental part of his philosophy. He was described as a "God-intoxicated man," and used the word God to describe the unity of all substance.[5] Although the term pantheism was not coined until after his death, Spinoza is regarded as its most celebrated advocate.[6]

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Panentheism

Panentheism (from Greek πᾶν (pân) "all"; ἐν (en) "in"; and θεός (theós) "God"; "all-in-God") is a belief system which posits that the divine (be it a monotheistic God, polytheistic gods, or an eternal cosmic animating force[1]) interpenetrates every part of nature and timelessly extends beyond it. Panentheism differentiates itself from pantheism, which holds that the divine is synonymous with the universe.[2] Unlike pantheism, panentheism maintains the identity and significance of the non-divine in the world.[3]

In panentheism, the universe in the first formulation is practically the whole itself. In the second formulation, the universe and the divine are not ontologically equivalent. In panentheism, God is viewed as the eternal animating force behind the universe. Some versions suggest that the universe is nothing more than the manifest part of God. In some forms of panentheism, the cosmos exists within God, who in turn "transcends", "pervades" or is "in" the cosmos. While pantheism asserts that 'All is God', panentheism goes further to claim that God is greater than the universe. In addition, some forms indicate that the universe is contained within God,[2] like in the concept of Tzimtzum. Much Hindu thought is highly characterized by panentheism and pantheism.[4][5] Hasidic Judaism merges the elite ideal of nullification to paradoxical transcendent Divine Panentheism, through intellectual articulation of inner dimensions of Kabbalah, with the populist emphasis on the panentheistic Divine immanence in everything and deeds of kindness.

I'm a little surprised at the strong showing of yes.

I'm not. A large portion of "no"s are very bored of these threads while a large portion of "yes"s feel the need to witness and/or play to their persecution complexes. Never mind that it is a simple poll asking for our opinion, as opposed to asking for facts.

I had grilled ham and cheese for dinner, in fact, and it's not even Sunday, imagine that.

And I was half asleep when I was making it, and accidentally turned on the smooth cook top burner under a porcelain plate holding my sandwiches instead of the burner under the skillet to melt the butter and the plate cracked and broke. So I had to throw away the uncooked bread which had porcelain flakes on it, and rinse off the meat and sharp cheddar cheese and remake the sandwiches.

Was GOD trying to send me a message?

I'm a little surprised at the strong showing of yes.

it's because people are dumb, and they think "christian spaghetti god"

when in my experience, most people who claim atheist..... once you remove the "religion" part of the equation, come to the conclusion that we do, in fact, live in a system of sorts.......a simulation...

i mean......it's ALL just light.......in different densities........

it's all electromagnetism, and some sort of amazing symphony of life, of all sorts, of all forms, for all purposes....

that's my proof of God.... to me, God isn't necessarily a "sentient entity" ......it works more like..... God is the name of the language, of the code, of our simulation........we're the A.I. the true intelligence is the universe itself....or God... we were birthed from that......and we'll birth our own.....

that's the God system.

to not believe in that, is a quick way to get picked off by the God system......it is incredibly efficient....being all OMNI and such.

Absolutely yes, and 2 fucks not given for what you believe.

Cool, Demon! Because without a sentient God, your Devil's Demons don't exist either, and that would be sad for you, right?

On a serious note, so what proof do you have you are right? And ironic coincidences and wishful thinking do not count. Or are you just trying to err on the side of caution, so you hope if you believe hard enough, you will make it to Heaven if there happens to be one?

That's pretty arbitrary and stupid. And it's not yes and no when you proceed to qualify it with an "if there ever was a conscious god." So we'll put you down as a no.

See now the Christians, I tend to wory about them sometimes. I mean they is all like Jesus died for your sins man. God sent down his only son and we killed him.

I'm like nah bro that doesn't make any kind of sense.

Tell you what I would believe though, start a new religion that claims the dinosaurs killed God's only kid. Now THAT I'd believe. Cause then It'd make sense that God wiped them mofo dinos the fuck out!

See we still around. We didn't done killed no God's kid. We'd have been wiped out. Jesus was just a good guy. If God sent his kid and a T-Rex ate him, then God was all like ok NO MORE dinosaurs. Clean slate. Now that makes sense.

But making sense isn't enough to make it real.

Furthermore, I was told there would be no maths.

2 photons are flying through an empty church one day. 1 photon says to the other, "Why is this place so empty?" The other photon says: "I was told there would be no mass"
