Acutally, no because a terrorist is a terrorist is a terrorist.
good grief,
Acutally, no because a terrorist is a terrorist is a terrorist.
I work every day with a Muslim. He has an MBA, is a respected colleague, and a family man.
Clearly a threat to the civilized world!
Did you know that Boko Haram translates literally as "western education is forbidden?"Someone with an MBA could never be a threat? You realize also that he isn't the only muslim, right?

And yes, the fact that Islam is a diverse religion with more than a billion followers is exactly my point.
The OPs "argument" is like saying that all of Christianity is a threat to modern technology because the Amish are Christian.
good grief,
I didn't read the OP, but the poll can fairly be read as not necessarily all.
Not even a page in, and here comes the religious/holy book bashers.
I'm out.
I don't see how. Lots of Muslims are non-violent and do not seek to convert non-Muslims to Islam.
Umm, did you read the OP? The thread is religion bashing.
You know you can look at it more directly if you look at the proportion of followers to nutters. There are clearly a heck of a lot of followers of the Muslim faith who seem willing to commit blatant atrocities in the name of their faith.
It's kinda like the price/performance ratio applied to religion.
...or a threat to education, science, etc., etc. It's hard for many people to rationally think beyond their stereotypes and bigotry. The OPs "argument" is like saying that all of Christianity is a threat to modern technology because the Amish are Christian.
You know Islam used to be the center of world knowledge. During their golden age Muslims advanced science and mathematics at an outstanding rate and made huge discoveries and advancements for all humanity. They were an open society where even the "doubters" (atheists of the day) were welcome.
We can directly trace the end of that golden age to a few assholes who thought it would be a great idea to insert religion into science and math. Islam has not recovered since and remains stuck in the past.
I seem to recall a religious group that has been trying, and continues to, insert religion into science these days. THAT is far more of a threat to us than Islam ever will be.
I didn't read the OP, but the poll can fairly be read as not necessarily all.
You can point out muslims that are peaceful, and i can point out n equal number of Muslims who support the ideology of intolerance and manslaughter with their whole hearts.
Indeed, my freind! But you know I cannot miss good religio-bash thread in its entirety.
yes, however I feel all religion is a threat to the word, simply because they are unable to get along with each other and those with different views

That's right guy, when you can't handle the truth the weak scurry away lick cockroaches when you turn on the kitchen lights. Not even a page in, and here comes the religious/holy book bashers.

Maybe you should pay attention to what the hell is going on in the world, all based in imaginary sky daddies and other mythical spooks. This is idiotic.
Everyday people don't get along all the time, and not getting along isn't the same as running into a crowded building with a bomb strapped to your chest.
As individuals, Muslims can be and often are truly excellent people. The problem is that when the concentration of Muslims within the population increases, Muslim tolerance and acceptance of that which is not Muslim decreases.
