Do you believe there's a job out there you would LOVE?

there's a few jobs i think i'd love but i'd never know until i tried it out. also, they either don't seem to pay well or there's little chance i'd be able to get them.

To me, the best job is one where you work for yourself. I'm in a job now where my boss doesnt micro-manage. However, office politics suck and i hate it. I'm happy with what I do, but the atmosphere in the company sucks. I'd rather much be in control of my destiny so if things dont work out I have no one to blame for myself. On the flipside, if you work hard and you do things the right way, you reap the benefits.

Now that's a job one has to love.

You better believe it. I've had some jobs I really liked a lot compared to most of the others. Once I studied programming I started getting jobs where I was admired and respected and got to know some OK people. OTOH, I've had a lot of jobs that suck so bad I couldn't stand to spend the money I earned from them. Seriously, all I could think about was saving the money for the day when I could forget about it.

The best most fun and interesting job I had was working in a bank as a reconciler.
We were a group of 4, we were all in our early 20's, and had the most fun ever.
The only time that I actually wanted to be at work more than be at home.

We balanced huge bundles of deposits coming off a check sorter/reader.
All figure work, but more like playing a game. Find the missing $10 here,
the missing $1 mill there. We all loved every minute.

And we were wild as hell, just kids, and drove everyone else nutz.
But, we had the power. We called the shots. We were like rock stars.
Cause without us balancing the days work, every other dept was screwed.

If you like games and figure work and challenges, become a reconciler in a bank.

If I didn't need to work the only thing I'd do is live my life. I'd go to school, and travel, and be with friends and family. Jobs aren't important in life, they're what get in the way of what's important in life.

That being said, since I do have to have a job I can't imagine anything better than teaching...at least right now.

Yes, I think there is a job out there that I would love, and it's what I'm going to school for now: Graphic Design. I've always loved making art, and I've always loved being able to communicate messages and ideas through images.
