Do you buy clothes online? I buy socks, boxers, t-shirts, polos, button up shirts that's it, but not jeans/pants or shoes. Shoes sizes I find can vary between makers, some I'm an 11, others I'm all the way down to 10 and since it's a hassle to return them, I buy them in store. Jeans/pants can also vary, relaxed fit, straight fit etc vary as well so those are in store only for me as well.

Last month I bought 4 shirts from ctshirts.com. I used their sizing guide and it was accurate.

This month I ordered sneakers from converse.com. They said they run a half size larger so I ordered a half size smaller. We'll see how that goes.

Very rarely. I've bought some button-up shirts for work that were all the same brand so I knew how they'd fit. Apart from that, I buy all my clothes in person, even stuff I don't try on like underwear, socks, undershirts and the like.

Hell, I should probably start ordering more clothes online. I think I'll start with a muumuu.

I've only purchased t-shirts; mainly band shirts and whatnot that I cannot find around here. Everything else I buy in person.

Quite a few. Hate clothes shopping and know my sizes in many things. So I wait for Kohl's to have a 30% coupon code and a stackable free shipping code and buy as much as possible then.

I buy online pretty much exclusively. Most retailers I purchase from do not keep tall sizes in their B&Ms.

shoes, tshirts, coats.

shoe sizes vary in width typically. an 11 isn't just an 11. people tend to pick the wrong width (standard, wide, extra wide, etc)

Shoes: Yes for some, but no for others. A lot of the shoes I buy I know exactly how they fit. But, for hard bottoms, I will go to the store. I know how comfortable my Jordans are going to be, but those loafers I have to try out.

Some other stuff, like sweaters, underwear, socks, t-shirts, etc I will buy online. Button ups and pants, I won't.

Is this stuff you bought? Or stuff you want? I assume its...want. Stylish man. Not my cup of tea but i'm not one to judge usually.

I try to spend as little money on clothes as possible, so I wear really old stuff all the time. I still wear slacks I bought in college to give a speech...routinely, 10+ years later.

I did buy some real nice Nike Kobe basketball warmup pants online recently though. I had to sweat it out whether they would fit or not, but they did, perfectly. /blog

As long as they have a brick and mortar store I buy online. I just went nuts on Jos A Bank website with their sale. If nothing fits I will return all the stuff on my way to work.

Hate spending money on clothes. especially work clothes.

want list. It's a cool site, alerts you to price drops.

90% is out of my price range unless it hits a big discount, near 70% off or more. most never reaches that level and plenty is still out of my range even at those levels...

Subscribing to /r/frugalmalefashion has gotten me a ton of clothes, while saving a TON of money.

My problem is sizing. At 6'8" 205lbs, I have the following issues:

*Shirt width to length ratio - perfect width, too short. perfect length, fucking tent. Tall sizes are few and far between, other than BR, AEO(no logos), J Crew, and other various brands. Online only though.

*Pant length - 36x36 is damn impossible to find on sale almost anywhere.

*Outerwear - Length is a huge issue.

Shoes and boots are much easier to come by oddly enough.

all the time.

generally speaking, I only really buy clothes from the same 2-3 places (Gap, Old Navy, Calvin Klein), and I know what sizes fit in which brands. but there's also no reason to be shy about returning stuff if it doesn't fit so you can get it in a different size. for me, even with the occasional return/reorder, it still ends up being more convenient than schlepping to the mall, scouring through racks hoping they have the exact size/style/color I want, and then trying it on in a tiny dressing room with an attendant standing right outside making me feel awkward.

This. I may have helped JC Penny's close a few but mine wasn't on the list. I like Dockers but the B&M will surly not have the right size/color/etc. And Dockers couldn't make 2 pair of pants that fit the same if they had to. So I order a couple that I want and take back the 1 (or 2) that don't fit.

New Balance has let me down lately. Always order from newbalance.com and the 10.5 wide haven't been 10.5 wide. Concerned about NBs quality control. But the free return ship helps ease the pain.

Yes. I've only found one place who sells women's pants with longer than a 34" inseam, so I'm trying to keep them in that business. They also happen to sell the best bras I've found.
