Do you consider McDonald's expensive?

Visited McDonald's the other day and my order came out to well over $10.

For comparison's sake, across the street Round Table offers all-you-can-eat pizza, salad and bread sticks for $7. A few miles away, there's a bunch of delicious all-you-can-eat Korean BBQs for $10. There's also two Mexican places that offer all-you-can-eat food and dessert for $7. Even head-to-head the Big Mac costs more than a Double-Double from In-n-Out, which is a far superior burger.*

Whenever I leave McDonald's, I end up feeling like I paid too much for what I get.

* In fact, it was listed as the fifth best burger in the nation by the editor in chief of Bon Appetit in case that one retard on here wants to argue it's a bad burger.

I love McDonald's. I think their food is good and pretty cheap. Quarter pounder w/ cheese, medium fry, medium drink is less than $6 here. McDonald's, Chick-fil-A, and Zaxby's are pretty much the only fast food restaurant I frequent because they're better than everyone else.

The people who are saying, "well, this item at such and such place is cheaper" aren't looking at the lest expensive items McDonald's has. Very few places carry anything that approaches the value of a McDouble, for instance. Or their coffee.

I don't even go to McDonald's except rarely to buy a coffee, but they aren't expensive at all. Not unless you insist on stuffing your face with their "premium" menu items.

I still haven't found any of the national chains offering better coffee for a dollar than McDonald's, so they win in that regard.

20 piece nuggets, a few dollar burgers, some fries, 2 apple pies... that's barely over $10 and feeds my whole family.

I like Taco Bell more for fast food but they are getting more expensive these days.

All food seems pricer lately. I remember 15 years ago or so going to with a HS GF for food at like Applebees etc and having a full meal for well under 20 bucks.
Now even getting like a 2 for 20 deal somehow the meal still ends up being like 40 bucks.

their popular meal options are expensive for what you get. a big mac combo is close to $8 around here. you can get 2 double cheeseburgers + a coke for around $5 though, which is pretty good (even better deal if you hold the coke). don't eat that too often though.

To me McD's has one of the more reasonably priced combo menus compared to the other major chains in the area. Although I have not ordered a combo in months, and looks like they changed a bunch. Prices can vary by location too, it's .50-$1 more just where I live compared to where I work 30 miles away.

I do like their $1 any size drink though, and they have the best Coke. Ive seen a couple other stores now doing the same to compete.

Most these fast food places have been sued so many times that they now have to buy higher quality stuff. That might account for a lot of the price.
I don't go to any of these places but they are a little pricey compared to what else you can get.
