But racism is far more insidious. It's everyone claiming not to be racist while blacks get hired 36% less when all qualifications are equal. It's a justice system the stops, harrasses, arrests and convicts blacks at far higher rates and with far stiffer sentences when all other factors are equal.

Asking for the obvious when the problem is not is a deflection. It, along with this thread is an attempt to deny the problem exists, to reverse blame.

You cannot change the race in those headlines and be equal because of reality.

Why not try to read those headlines as coming from an oppressed group suffering from institutionalized racism to the oppressive group rather than race.
