I looked up clabbered milk and it seems that it's just 'raw' milk?

Drinking milk from livestock allows humans to live in environments that they otherwise couldn't survive in. It doesn't necessarily mean that it's better for you than other foods available today. No matter what you think about the role of milk in human evolution, you'll use less resources if you drink soy milk or juice.

"Are you for real?

Why don't you drink human milk? Wouldn't that make more sense?

Why is cow milk an acceptable beverage? Why don't people pour donkey milk on their Rice Crispies or dunk their Oreos into a big glass of rat milk?"

Goat milk.

Do you know what the EROI is to plant, culitvate, and harvest soybeans? Juice?

You really have no knowdledge about where your food comes from mercantile. If you want to save resources, buy from your local farmers market.

Thanks for the reply though.

No, it clogs up my sinuses, used to get strep throat all the time too when I was little until we found out I have problems with milk. I have ice cream, cheese, and such every so often though, that isn't usually a problem.

I've never been to a farmer's market. That's beside the point. If you're a regular joe buying milk in a grocery, it's from someplace far away. And chances are those cows are fed soy or corn anyway.

That response insn't applicable to my situation.

I go through at least 3 gallons every 2 weeks, and I live alone.

Bowl of cereal? Milk in the bowl with a glass of milk.
PB&J? Tall glass of milk.
Chocolate cake? At least three glasses, I mean c'mon! It's chocolate cake!
Pancakes? A glass for each one.
Spaghetti? Milk is the best drink with homemade spaghetti. Mmmmm.
Cookies? Extra wide cup of milk for dunking and drinking!
The perfect before-bed-beverage? MILK! (just brush your teeth afterwards, morning milk breath is baaaaaad).

Ok, most of these I agree with. But with spaghetti is disgusting, especially if you threw up after combining the two at a young age.

Understandable. I once ate a lot of fish sticks when I was a kid and then went on the Tilt-A-Whirl and threw them all up afterwards. Haven't eaten fish sticks since. Disgusting.

I don't drink milk because I think it's healthy and is rich in calcium. I just drink it because I like it, I've always liked it, and it has become a comfort drink.

How much land does it take for your local farmers to raise cattle? Include the land for supplemental feed too.

I can't drink milk. I've stated that I can't drink milk without a nasty conclusion. I haven't worked on a feedlot. Most feedlots are less than 100 acres. Supplementall feed is roughly 1/2 of the columbia basin's acreage in corn.

You can look up the numbers yourself lad.

I didn't read the whole thread. If I read all your threads, I'd have no time left for other activities

I don't like to drink milk because it makes me feel like somebody reached into my gut, grabbed ahold of my intestines, and started twisting.

But soymilk is okay.

You seem to have enough time to post alot of crap in my threads.

Your reply is really one of the most lucid I've ever read for being such a giant.

At least a glass every morning with breakfast. It's almost Pavlovian.

I like the taste, and when you want to drink something cold nothing is as satisfying as chugging a full glass of ice-cold milk - it really is a wonderful sensation.

Here is a more meaningful question - what kind of milk do you drink? I drink skim - it's what I grew up with, so I'm used to it.

I'd assume most people prefer the kind of milk they grew up drinking.

It is however perfectly healthy when it's cultured, like yogurt and cheese, but uncultured is a whole other story.

If you're looking for calcium and other vitamins/minerals, eat some leafy vegetables.

 celery and broccoli both have decent calcium levels.
