I think I would puke if I took a single sip of plain milk. I'm not big on milk or milk products. I don't like the taste or the texture. I hate the smell that develops if you spill even a few drops of it here and there. I think I might be somewhat lactose intolerant too.

I wish it wasn't this way. As such, I now swallow calcium pills like a nut, because I don't want to lose height.

Have fun passing your future kidney stones.
"Soft Drinks. Cola can severely reduce citrate in the urine and should be avoided. Many soft drinks contain phosphoric acid, which increases the risk for stones. Some research shows that drinking one quart (less than three 12-ounce cans) of soda per week may increase a person's risk of developing stones by 15%. "

"A high calcium diet does not appear to increase the risk for kidney stones as long as it also contains plenty of fluids and dietary potassium and phosphate. (Increasing calcium alone may pose a modest risk for stones.) "

"Prevention:

Eating a moderate or high amount of calcium-rich foods, such as dairy products. Eating recommended amounts of calcium, combined with a diet low in sodium and protein, may decrease your risk of kidney stones."

Yea, he better watch for those kidney stones!

No, drinking milk gives me gas and some times causes cramps and diarrhea.

I'll use milk for cooking, but that's about it. I don't even keep it in stock in my kitchen; whenever I need it, I'll run to a store and buy 1-2 of those small, 2-cup cartons of milk.

I have never liked straight milk, never. With other things, sometimes. Straight, never ever!

I basically have quit drinking milk even though I do like to have a bowl of cereal now and then. I just don't drink enough to keep it from spoiling even when I only buy a 1/2 gallon.

I never buy it that way. I buy instant non-fat and reconstitute as needed. The most I make is around 0.8 quart, and refrigerate it. Occasionally I don't finish it before it goes bad, but not usually. More often than not, there's none in my fridge. Usually I just make it on the spot. Most commonly, I cook with it, don't drink it (add to recipes as required, i.e. powder + water = milk).

You have to backup these inane claims

Most people in the devloped world consume some milk every day, FUD merchants like you would seem to suggest we're all doomed, doomed!

The ironing is that you're more than likely some enormously fat nerd, who doesn't get enough excercise, and doesn't have his prostate checked

I drink like 5 gallons a week, all by myself... I've given up pouring it into a glass, because I drink about a third of a gallon at a time--straight from the jug. Skim, mostly.

Lactose Intolerant. Even foods with milk in them give me bad gas and worse depending what it is. Otherwise I love the taste of milk and drink some when I know I'm near a bathroom at home.

Prism's argument makes as much sense as saying 'what species eats burritos? None, except humans, therefore burritos are evil and we shouldn't eat them!'

Milk offers a very convenient natural source of calcium, so it seems fairly logical that people drink it. If you don't like it, that's fantastic, but the argument Prism is putting forward makes baby Jesus cry.

If you would've read a little closer I never once said that milk is evil or shouldn't be drank, I'm just saying that it's not NECESSARY to drink it like the ads would have you believe. So please, I know it's hard, but try not to be so ignorant from now on.

I used to drink it a lot more than I do now because of calcium reasons, but orange juice has more calcium and it tastes better imo. I'll drink milk only if I'm eating something sweet now.

I insanely love milk. I drink it just as my main drink during the day. I drink it at the rate of about a gallon every two days. Extra if i'm like fixing a cake too or something that needs milk. But too bad milk costs more than gas per gallon right now .

I like dairy products, but I don't find milk particularly delicious. I do drink a lot of skim milk that has been processed to remove all carbs, so it is basically creamy milk protein isolate. I drink this because it is one of the most beneficial sources of protein for body composition.

If I anything too acidic that would make my ulcers angry, milk helps it even out...

My friend introduced me to this new concoction:
1/3 Arizona Green Tea
2/3 milk

Gets the bland taste out and still get the milk goodness....
Very strange mixture, but it works, and if it works, dont fix it.
