I curse, I use the lord's name in vain, I drink alcohol in moderation, I sometimes look at other women but I've never killed or hurt anyone, never cheated on my wife, never hit a woman or my son or our pets and I generally treat most people with respect. I haven't been to a church in probably 20 years.

By the strictest definition I'm probably a pretty poor excuse for a Christian but I'm probably a lot better than many people who call themselves one. Really though, I honestly don't give a fuck.

Western social values and structures are so intertwined with Christianity that I think most westerners live a more or less Christian lifestyle whether they believe in any aspect of the religion or not. Trying to separate secular and religious social traits and habits is probably a fool's errand. That said, I haven't rubbed dirt and spit in a blind person's eyes in weeks.

Psalm 137, which celebrates this terrible revenge: "Happy is he who repays you for what you have done to us / He who seizes your infants and dashes them against the rocks."

Romans 1:27, currently an extremely divisive matter with the Anglican church: "In the same way also the men, giving up natural intercourse with women, were consumed with passion for one another. Men committed shameless acts with men and received in their own persons the due penalty for their error."

nah. Mainly due to my concern of devoting my life to the wrong god. So when I die all of that hating on gays and generally being bigoted towards people who don't fit into my belief system would have been for nothing.

Although to be fair if I arrive in paradise I am sure 90% of my christian beliefs (especially if I am a catholic) would perfectly align with what allah is expecting.
