only about a 4/10 on heat for me, but I eat Habenaro's straight so I'm not the best judge of spicy level. Flavor's 10/10. I've had probably 500 different hot sauces in my life. And I come back to this one more than any other, maybe my next 4 favorite combined.

Try that Black Rose. I literally just ate the whole bottle out of a spoon. I didn't use it on anything. :$

Sriracha is great to add to a lot of foods. Serrano peppers are my favorite to add hot to salsa. There aren't many hot things I dislike.

Cholula is pretty much our mainstay, usually have a few others I like around. Hadn't even popped the top on the new Tobasco.

The wife is the Sriracha fan here.

Usually just keep a bag of red peppers and other things around so can grind things up for rubs etc.

That's a very manly kitchen-counter. I like.

I'm currently working through my second bottle of Blair's Megadeath sauce. It's really hot (550,000 on the scoville scale), but the flavor of the roasted peppers inside is phenomenal.

I was raised on hot. I grow my own jalapenos and a few years ago one of my plants yielded a few red jalapenos and they were super hot. I took the seeds from that and grow mostly red one now. Also, a few years ago I discovered African Bird Pepper and use that in pretty much everything I cook. It tastes like black pepper but with a really hot kick. I made a large beef curry just last night, I put in 3 red jalapenos and a dash of the bird pepper in addition to the standard curries. It is awesome. I am not much of a "Hot sauce" person as the sauces tend to not have the true taste of the peppers in it. I just add the fresh peppers to my meals.

Crystal - General Use
Louisiana - General Use
Homemade Salsa - Mexican Food
Tapatio - Some breakfast foods
Sriracha - Asian/General Use
Hot Oil (Chili-based) - Asian

I live by the heat -- I was born of it.

I like hot sauce on my chicken and in soups but I'm a wimp. My go-to sauce is Cholula.

My wife is from Sichaun China originally, and everything she cooks has chili peppers and these Sichuan pepper corns in them that are fantastic! I wish the Chinese restaurants in the area actually used these Sichuan pepper corns that my wife cooks with. (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sichuan_pepper)

I work with a woman whose family immigrated to the states from Mexico, however, and I think she is trying to kill everyone in the office. She will bring in home made salsa and Mexican food that is like eating fire. All of her cooking is good, but insanely hot. She will shrug and say "it is not that hot, it only has a dozen bhut jolokia's in it", and be serious. I used to think I could eat hot food, but I tap out at bhut jolokia, while my friend in the office will much on her home made Carolina Reaper Salsa all day long. Lol.

Home made is always the best, if you can find the time to plant a garden.

I've been reading up some...apparently its all about the warmth of your garden.

I live in a place that has very similar climate and have been able to successfully grow bhut jolokia, before aphides obliterated it anyways, bird's eye chili and jalapeños. Peppers as a whole are fairly forgiving plants unless growing for maximum heat.

My dad tended towards Louisiana style hot sauce (in the style of Crystal brand, to be exact) over Tabasco while I was growing up.

That is what I pour on everything. It is what my kids now get sprinkled into their portions.

Smooth, pleasant taste, a slow building heat that doesn't overwhelm. Not much of a fan of the other flavors. Also, get off my lawn.

Always liked the Blair's Death line of sauces. More specifically their Salsa de la Muerte level. Good blend of heat and flavor and it is my version of ketchup (have not used actual ketchup in last 10+ years). Go through a bottle of the stuff per week.

If I'm cooking I like to add some habaneros and serranos to add some flavor, but the woman is fussy about hot food, so I have to use it sparingly. Otherwise Dave's insanity sauce is my old standby. It adds a bit of heat without doing too much else.
