Do you guys miss Paulson?

There are far worse than paulson here that post crap.And they are grown ,mature men and women,not teens just getting started in life.If I where a mod,I'ld send him the rules with the explanation that his membership is contingent upon following those rules. Sometimes we all need to look at hose rules to keep us all on equal footing.

Mods, if you bring back Paulson,bring back Dirk, too with the same caveat.


Then again,I do think the mods do a pretty good job here,and with all the threads to keep track of,it must be a heck of a task.They have my respect.

Besides, is this a trick question? If I say I miss him, will you bring him back?

Everybody here tried to help him out and told him to cool down. Especially in DC people told him to calm down. I guess everybody just got sick of his daily "Look at my website!!!" - "Why do you guys hate me?" fluctuations. And when anybody tried to help him out or give him advice and suggestions he just got mad.
I can't blame people for not missing him. Then again, he did a lot to help out with Distributed Computing. I think he just needs some time to grow up.
The fact that he got banned at AGN is kinda comical. It may seem a bit extreme, but he already had 2 strikes, and I guess the mods just kinda got sick of it.
I think he will end up just fine if we just give him some time to grow up.

he knows the rules inside out since everyone is always yelling at him whenever he breaks one of those rules. paulson just chooses to ignore the constant reminders to stop the incessant neffing. I guess I would be in favor of giving him another chance, provided that he cuts down on redundant posting (i.e. advertising his website through quite creative means, or the extremely agravating attempt to recruit people for rc5)...but thinking back about how many chances he was given, paulson should be banned for a few more weeks or so and hopefully that'll tame him. but yeah, I would prefer he would be unbanned, eventually that is.

I don't know why after getting banned twice he kept up with it and I don't see how he didn't realized he was going to get banned. While he is young (only 1 year less than me though...) he does know the rules and that. It's not like he's 10 and needs a bunch of warnings and doesn't understand anything.

I helped Paulson a little bit with RC5 and getting it installed. He was nice to have around, but also quite annoying, and frankly I didn't notice that he was gone until this thread. It sure is a lot quieter now..

I don't think Paulson is a bad kid... I mean nothing a little Prozac couldn't fix .

He was banned at AGN (again) because even after (3) strikes he violated the terms in which he was given his membership back. That I find very generous in itself... Ah well, I wouldn't mind seeing him post once in a while here, but the neffing he does must but limited... Most of his 11,000 posts are less than 5 words and contain little to no value.

I don't think Paulson raised the ire of mods by the quantity of his posts as much as the utter lack of substance therein. To me, it was like static. Sure, I could read around his posts, but they were still annoying and uncalled for.

I visit the forums a couple of times per day, but took months just to reach Senior Member status because I don't post with each neuron firing.
