Why? Jealous because they get all the great looking women?

It's like anything else... Some keep it in control, some lose it. Some become really annoying when they're high, others just become happy. One size does not fit all.

Hes mad at himself for supporting his shitty family, I think hes slowly realizing they're using him.

Coke sucks for me, it just makes me paranoid and obsess over the next line the whole time. Now meth that stuff is something else.

Basic common sense, try it sometime.

A wise person would prefer to heed the fruits of professional training, higher education, the sum of human knowledge and state of the art thinking.

The ignorant person must wallow in what they term "basic common sense".

exactly what do we mean by cocaine user?

it's friday night, we're clubbing, me and 3 other friends share a gram of cocaine, does that qualify as cocaine user?

or, it's wednesday night, i've been working since 7am in my recording studio, i do a couple of lines on my own and keep going until 1am.

or, it's monday morning, in my cubicle at the day trading firm, i do a bump out of my silver coke bottle.

to me, the only people who have a problem are those who do cocaine at inappropriate times. the mom on the school run, the fratboy on thursday night while watching TV, any situation where cocaine does not enhance the result. don't tell me "cocaine enhances anything", it doesn't. if you are not dancing, socializing, or working, there's no reason to do coke, the same way that you don't have a whisky during your lunch break.

I have nothing against most cocaine users.
I dislike thieves, and I think that people who can't handle their cocaine should get help, but, normal regular cocaine users are fine. (I'd guess that 80-90% of cocaine users are likely casual users who get their rocks off by snorting coke and partying once in a while.)

What I hate is why everyone says addiction is a disease. These people CHOSE to do cocaine, heroin, etc.
A disease is something no one has control over, something they didn't want.

Rant over.
The "Physical Dependency" part of addiction is disease.
If you go into heroin withdrawl and you don't use heroin, you will be sick as hell.
If you are an alcoholic and you have been drunk nonstop for 10 years, when you first go sober, you will be sick as hell.
If you are a caffeine addict and you cut 100% caffeine... you will have headaches and feel sick as hell.

Diseases are not just bad spirits that shall be cleansed by bloodletting, the human body is actually a bit more complicated than that.

Have I in any way pissed you off or is it because I have a low post count? I've been perusing these forums a year longer than you yet you seem to need to belittle me.

How about you find something useful to do other than troll people.

My dumbass managed to get hooked on heroin for a few years. The its a disease thing is the biggest cop out ever. Just because you temporarily change your brain chemistry with drugs doesn't mean you have a disease. Withdrawals suck but its not a disease like cancer. Calling drug addiction a disease is an insult to all people with serious diseases that didn't bring it on themselves.

Not really, i used to be one. Just gotta watch some of them as they are less than honest but alot of non druggies are less than honest too.

To those saying you dont know any lol you do if you leave your house. I didnt think i knew anyone who did it either until i started, then quickly found out that over half my friends did it, and i had no idea until i started as well.

Havent touched it in 7 years now though, but still know the signs and still notice the people who do it.

Even the people I know who are open and honest about drug use never mention cocaine. I just don't think it's all that popular around here.

That's kind of like saying that type 2 diabetes or emphysema or lung cancer or liver disease aren't diseases. We call lots of things diseases that we bring on ourselves. I have asthma, a serious disease that I didn't bring on myself. I don't feel insulted by thinking of addiction as a disease. Both of us require medical treatment.

The difference with those is the sugar/smoking/drinking finally caused a real disease. Drug addiction doesn't need medical attention. I kicked heroin cold turkey at my house. Haven't touched it in almost 8 years.

Type 2 diabetes is a disease that is often reversible with certain dietary changes. Lots of diseases can be reversed or eliminated by doing healthy things. That doesn't mean it's not a disease.

I did say drug addicts "require medical treatment". You're right...it's too strong of a statement and it's inaccurate. Allow me to rephrase: medical detox and psychological attention are often needed and without them, recovery from an addiction may never be achieved. Not everyone is as strong as you.

Choose, yes, bad choice, yes... but once that "bad" choice is made, one can become "addicted" and addiction is sadly a disease herrjimbo.

"Public Policy Statement: Definition of Addiction- Short Definition of Addiction:

Addiction is a primary, chronic disease of brain reward, motivation, memory and related circuitry. Dysfunction in these circuits leads to characteristic biological, psychological, social and spiritual manifestations. This is reflected in an individual pathologically pursuing reward and/or relief by substance use and other behaviors.

Addiction is characterized by inability to consistently abstain, impairment in behavioral control, craving, diminished recognition of significant problems with one’s behaviors and interpersonal relationships, and a dysfunctional emotional response. Like other chronic diseases, addiction often involves cycles of relapse and remission. Without treatment or engagement in recovery activities, addiction is progressive and can result in disability or premature death."

Definition of Addiction as per ASAM.

I don't hate them, but I just hate how they lie and lie to your face. We ain't stupid...we can clearly see the progression.
cocaine makes them more tasty. I usually feed my friends tons of cocaine before i stew them in a pot. The texture is just chewy and awesome in my mouth.

I learn this technique from a cannibal forum on the dark web which I frequent pretty regularly.

I think people with bi-polar disorders and depression get hooked on it the easiest. I can't speak for dudes because I never ran with the cocaine crowds. It makes sense in Hollywood where money is no object and they have time to kill between movies...or having an agent call them... They likely do drugs out of boredom and perhaps the same bi-polar type feelings of being on top of the world one minute and being replaced by the next younger star when a new movie comes out.

In my life, I've seen, attractive females with such mental health issues tend to be the easiest targets from guys trying to get them addicted for manipulation. I don't know a lot of drug users, per se...but the two people I know that did cocaine in their late teens/early 20s were both super-good-looking females that got the stuff from their boyfriends. They both had those kinds of issues and one struggled with anorexia, particularly after she got off the stuff. My guess is, they weren't couples BEFORE they did the drugs together, and the drugs were used as a carrot to keep the girls coming back.

One of them is in her late 30s now, not a current user...makes a 6 figure income working in the medical field...but I think she has deviated septum issues. The other one, I have no idea where she landed but I think she was an art major...she's probably homeless or working at a Starbucks somewhere.

I'm assuming you use this same logic when discussing "common sense gun reform"...?

It's more the cocaine dealers who piss me off.

Why can't they be more reasonable and take patio furniture for payment instead of always bitching about "cash money"?
