n0ckmonkey is right, it won't get you a job, but it will get you thru the door to an interview....
lotta companies nowadays are making sure those with any kind of certs actually have hands on experience to go with it...especially with certs that are only written with no hands on testing (ccna, mcse, etc)...
the company i'm with does want me to get certain certs, that way it'll boost bragging opportunities to clients when selling work....i don't have a ccna, actually i have no certs at all, but i use my experience to speak for me when representing in front of clients, upper management, interviews, etc...
