Tried to watch it 5 times. each time I fall asleep. I want to like it.

I finally watch 1984 and did not fall asleep.

Well, you can't imagine what a revelation Dr. Strangelove was when it came out. It made great fun of the most serious of subjects in the USA at the time, the cold war. In terms of turning the country on its head I think it's unprecedented and hasn't been equaled since.

Having seen that first, I had real problems liking George. C. Scott in Patton. It's highly rated, but I don't like it. OTO, Dr. S is the bomb! :biggrin: Calling that a B movie is ridiculous.

Well, the first was from Repo Man and it strikes me as just plain dumb. The 2nd, I don't recognize, but it's crappy, the acting is ridiculous as well.

I guess I just don't like B movies. There may be some I like but I can't think of any. Now, I was highly recommended The Texas Chainsaw Massacre and I guess you might call that a B Movie. I watched it not long ago, not sure what I thought of it. I avoided it when it came out, but I interviewed a band on the radio around a year ago and during the interview they waxed poetic about that movie so I had to buy it and watch it.

Don't Be a Menace (to South Central while drinking your Juice in the Hood) (1996), might be considered a B movie, don't know, I really do like that one, it's amazing!

It was made by Lou Vockell. He's made a bunch of low budget horror, softcore, and softcore horror pics.

The problem with low budget horror pics is there's so many bad ones, it's really hard to sift through. I can appreciate a few, someone mentioned Bubba Ho-tep. That's win.

Pretty much anything with Bruce Campbell is a win.
