The only ones I got are a high school friend's brother lived with a few of the guys in Maroon 5 during college at University of Nebraska at Lincoln. My co-worker married Bret Michael's sister (now divorced). The same co-worker is best buddies with the guy who owns and operates Saddle Creek Records based out of Omaha.

My parents live next to Palini (the coach for the Huskers). And I think somehow they know a few important political figures (not sure who exactly).

Uhhh, my stepmom went to high school with Luke Perry, and I know one of the UFC fighters that come into the store I used to work at.

I like how you used quotes around important. As if to remind us that those people are not actually any more important than you or me, or my pet goldfish for that matter, they just like to think they are.

i have met some famous people. sorta know the owner of the magic. mostly theater/concert stuff though from my last job, reel big fish, Relient K, flogging molly, Dolly Parton, some other tier 2 bands. a few comedians, I got to know Alan Parsons and his band/ crew pretty well. Alan was the primary recording engineer for dark side of the moon. some of the best ears in the biz.

I work in governement related business so I met and saw many political figures, from local, city, county, up to federal level.

I even have a personalized birthday card signed by the city major.

Edit: I was at the NASCAR race in Texas a few years back and GW Bush (when he was the governor of Texas) said "Gentlemen, start your engines" and he was about 15-20 ft from where I stood.
