Do You Have Any Sympathy For Drug Addicts Or Drug Users?

What is your opinion?

I do not have any sympathy...if you tried it in the first place (and this goes for people who have tried it once and then stopped) you must not be strong enough on the inside, and I do not want you in our society...

I have seen drugs ruin people everyday, and know at least 5 people killed do to drugs (one a boy hood friend who after getting farther away in HS got in a car reck while he was high)...and yet people still do them and think nothing of it...well IMO I am sick of this oh well pot is not that bad crap...guess what it is...



There should be much stricter punishment....

narcotics and other addictive drugs should be fully legalized. you should be able to pick them up at the local pharmacy (without a prescription). anyone who chooses to use any drug, whatsoever, has my full support.

where did you get that from my comments? I think 18 years is a good age for people to be able to buy beer, cocaine, opium, whatever. All drugs should be of guaranteed purity and potency, and manufactured in government-approved laboratories.

so you never had to go to a funeral for someone that died because he drove while using pot? Or someone that overdoesed on extasy because they felt pot wasnt giving them the same high...

alchohol comes no where near the effects of pot...and I believe that alchohol and cigarettes should be illegal also (granted I enjoy a beer every once in a while) but the deaths that occur from smoking and alchohol each year is rediculous...

I could say fine, let them die...but I won't because I am sick of society's I dont give a sh!t attitude....what ever happened to the values we once used to hold?

perhaps you need to find new friends if they're dumb enough to OD on drugs much more dangerous than marijuana

You're right, pot is a much safer drug than alcohol.

no and no. Don't start with the gateway drug thing. I mean come on. That can apply to anything. You can apply that with cars. You had a slow car but you wanted to go faster so you bought a faster car, you were inexpierenced, crashed and died.

I try not to paint everything with the same brush.

I'm not really any better than a lot of addicted drug users. I look forward to coming home and having a beer or a glass of wine after a rough day at work. I like having a couple beers during a football game and catching a bit of a buzz.

But the difference is that my choice of drug is legal and in the moderation that I consume it, it isn't habit forming.

But I can understand how people can fall into that bottomless pit of drug addiction. I doubt anyone ever *wants* to turn into that or fall into that lifestyle. But I can understand how it happens.

I don't think that they should be handled with kids gloves and patted on the head says "It's okay, it's not your fault". But I also don't think we shouldn't judge them so easily and automatically rule them out as the scourge of the earth and say that they are pathetic, weak, and useless people.

WHAT?! Dude.. just go back to CUSA and mess around with the employees there if you're going to make ridiculous assessments like that. Alcohol is responsible for HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OF DEATH from driving to alcohol poisoning. You can't OD from weed it's chemically impossible, and driving while drunk is WAY WORSE then driving while high.. give me a break dude, you're living in a fantasy world if you think otherwise.
