Not really.

Pot smoking is not that bad though.

Edit-I don't do drugs at all but I really don't think pot is on the same level as say heroin or meth. I have smoked pot before but I've never done any of those other drugs.

i myself dont have a problem with it if someone isnt a 24hour stoner. my brother, a smelly, lazy hippie, is pretty well always stoned. he actually claims he drives better stoned, than not.

he smokes too much, and i think thats wrong. but every now and again, a time or two a week or something just to relax? i dont have a problem with that at all.

likewise, i dont have a problem with alcohol. a drink or two now and again isnt a problem (though driving is definitely a no no, unless you have a high tolerancy and only had a drink or two) but to get drunk...it seems like a waste to me, i never cared for it.

i drink now and again, ive smoked pot a couple of times, but i dont feel either are required for me to enjoy myself or have a good time and would never make those things regular, or heavily used substances in my life.

You name it, I've done it. I hold down a full time job, pay my bills and have never been addicted to anything. (well, except nooky) Some get hooked and drugs can ruin their lives, some don't.

In other words, you can do drugs or DRUGS can do you! Unfortunately there is no way to tell into which category you will fall...

I do feel sorry for drug addicts. Addictions are hard to control and often run in families. Sometimes drugs are their only escape from their miserable conditions and they get hooked.

I don't think there should be "punishment" for simple drug use. If you commit another crime while high, drunk, or whatever, that's a different story. I think drug addiction should be looked at as a mental illness, not a crime.

Pot should be legalized with similar restrictions to alcohol.

Sums up my feelings on the subject... nuf said.

I don't have sympathy for those who have so little will that they can not control themselves. There are only a few drugs I haven't tried, and thats because I know that they can screw you up. I never get drunk, high, whatever during the week, only on the weekends. And its not like its every weekend too, just once in a while.

I guess if people make a few bad choices in their life, than they should forgo all sympathy, seriously, quit with the idealistic "every law must be followed" crap. So people screw up, if they want to change than you should be supportive, not like the asshats who are saying all the drug users should die. People make mistakes, that does not damn them forever. I have sympathy for drug users who want to change their lives, and I don't really care about people who do drugs recreationaly. It's foolish to think that goverment limits what people can and can't do for fun, although there is a line between recreational pot smokers and people who smoke crack. And as for the argument that pot is still harmful to soceity, prove it. Most people drive normally under the influence of mary jane, and people are also a lot calmer. I'd argue that alcohol is much more detrimental than pot, yet people see pot as the root of all evil, and the gateway drug arugment is also pointless, because 95% of the people that smoke weed don't become herion or cocaine adicts ect.
