Do you have eye floaters?

I've noticed recently that I have a lot of eye floaters. I typically only notice if it's bright out. If I move my eyes from left to right rapidly I can see them floating around inside my eye. It sounds like they're pretty common, especially in older people, but I'm only 22, so I wanted to do a little survey. How old are you, and do you have any or a lot of eye floaters?

EDIT: And if you don't want to click on the article, eye floaters are basically just specks or strings that float around in the fluid of your eye and can be seen when looking at bright objects such as a blue sky.

Yes I do.

Floaters are ok. If you see an increase in the number of floaters or bursts of color/light, go to an ophthalmologist immediately.

I'm not sure if it's an actual increase or if it's just that I haven't paid much attention previously -- I know I've always had some. I'll probably go see a doctor though because I'm paranoid.

Yes, quite a few, and some of them must be big, as sometimes it feels like there's something tumbling against the inside of one of my eyes, and I get a moving blurry splotch in my field of vision. I can see the floaters just looking at the computer's screen right now. Age: 26.

Wow, crap, I read the article and I definitely get the flashes of light often associated with retinal detachment. That's no good...

My father-in-law used to get lots of 'floaters' and a few years ago his retina detached and crumpled up like a foil ball. Unrepairable.

Get your eyes checked!

My last eye exam I was told I have one in one of my eyes. Had never been told anything before. I'm 33. I've never actually noticed anything though.

I'm 20, and I have one or 2 occasionally in my right eye. They come and go. Eye doctor gave me a clean bill of health a couple of months ago, so I should be fine.

Yeah 2 small spots... Unnoticeable unless I try looking for them (reading that arcticle made them noticeable now :|), and it has to be a really clear background, no textures

Oh and Im 22

I've had floaters all my life with no issues. I have the full eye exam (including fucking dilation and all that brings with it) every 2 years.

Yeah, I remember seeing floaters when I was very young. I rarely ever notice them, but I've been able to see floaters for what seems like forever (I'm 22)

Look at a gray sky or a blank bland colored and move your eyes left to right if you want to see how many you have.

I've had some as far as I can remember, I can see a few right now as a matter of fact.

Yeah, in one eye, only noticeable when bright, but right in the middle of my field of vision. I'm 26.
