The part that gets me is where the author says men with LONGER ring fingers than index fingers are a sign of men with high testosterone.

Guess what? My ring finger is longer than my index finger. Haha!

Reading the wiki page it indicates that it's a measure of prenatal androgen exposure. It's not an indicator of your current blood levels.

aside from high testosterone generally being considered a "good" trait in males, it also acts as an immunosuppressant and can be one factor in males (on average) having shorter life spans than females.

also based on the wikipedia digit ratio, isn't (almost) everyone's ring finger larger than their index? even if marginally, in both males and females

My index fingers are bent a little bit so it looks like my ring fingers are longer, however, they may actually be the same length. That said, it's possible I may have somewhat heavy growth of facial and body hair, and I am not at all "lean", however, I generally eat about 4000 calories per day and generally I do not gain weight.

I have nearly identical sized ring and index fingers when tape measuring from the tip to the joint. Depending on how I position my hand then it can look like I have a very large index finger or a very large ring finger.

well, my middle finger is longer than my index finger too. i'm old and buff, but i don't have any chest hair (yay!)
