Why should I listen to you? You're from hong kong!

Excellent, we can now establish that you have obtained a modicum of elementary reading skills. Now let us move on to capitalization. You seem to understand that you should capitalize the first letter of each sentence, but did you know that you should also capitalize proper nouns? It's true! For example, you should capitalize words like Hong Kong, Dad, and Lake Tahoe. A word of caution however, words like dad can be used as both proper and common nouns. For example, you might say, "I watched my dad warm up the truck at Lake Tahoe during the winter." Notice that we did capitalize Lake Tahoe as it is a name and thus a proper noun. However, the phrase "my dad" is not a proper noun in this context. You could instead say, "Look, Dad warmed up the truck at Lake Tahoe in the winter!" In this case you need to capitalize the word dad. You should practice this rule often, even intermixing the two scenarios. That is, "I already told you, it was my dad! It is not that hard to understand that Dad warmed up the truck at Lake Tahoe. Thus, I can be considered to be an expert on all things involving trucks, winter, and my father in the vicinity of Lake Tahoe."

This last statement provides a nice segue into another topic that you should take the chance to study. Logical thinking skills and abstract thought can be applied to just about any situation that you might encounter throughout the day and it would behoove you to learn the proper forms of their application.

I like my right half of my brain thank you very much! Being analytical and following rules is quite easy, but being creative is far more valuable and rewarding. If I work on my left side of my brain too much, I'll lose all of my right brain ability which could be a great detriment to my future career prospects. In case you're wondering, I don't plan on being an artist.

Dude.. don't even bother arguing with Hosebag.

Arguing with Hosebag is like being in the special olympics.
No matter who wins, he's still a retard.

I know how to do a lot of stuff, but I'm not sure if you can rebuild Honda alternators.. If you want, I can give you a laundry list of all the things that I plan on doing for my car.

all alternators can be rebuild, whether or ont it's cost effective is another story.

when you buy a remanufactured item from a parts store, it's been rebuild in a shop and not by the end user.

Worry not Fleabag. Someone with your qualifications would have no trouble finding a top-flight job in either the food service or housekeeping industries.

As important as it is to utilize both sides of your brain, it's equally important to know WHEN to apply each side of the brain. Creative side: "put cardboard over your windshield in the winter to make it easier to clean the windshield off." The problem is, you let things flow from your right side, through your keyboard, and onto the internet making you look foolish. That left side needs to aggressively stand between the right side and your fingertips causing you to analyze - "but when the cardboard gets damp, it will freeze to the windshield making it even worse."

Pay him no heed. He's been inflating his brain to sidewall pressure.

LOL!!! Best response yet!

And why the hell would anyone bother to memorize the vin number on their car? Talk about a completely useless bit of knowledge.

I have two cars and a motorcycle...I couldn't even tell you the license plate numbers on any of them.

I've got news for you. While "34" may be the VIN of your car, the rest of us have real cars with long VIN numbers that there is absolutely no need to know.

LOL.

Why the hell would I bother to learn the VIN number? I've never needed to use it - most places (insurance, garage, etc.) only need the car registration number.

The only place that I can think of that needed the VIN number was Tracker Ltd. for the tracking system installed in my car. Once the system was registered with Tracker after the initial installation, then that was it. To renew the annual subscription I just need to give them their reference number and the car registration number.

btw I bought the car with the tracking system already installed by the previous owner.

No. That is probably one of the last numbers I would ever bother to memorize. What the hell is the point?

I think he's just doing this as some daydreaming idiocy, hoping one day to have a car of his own. You know, like those women that sit around writing their changed named if they were to marry some guy they fantasize about.

Haha, yeah you are probably right. It will be an epic, yet very scary day when he actually gets one!

I knew Pi to 3.14159263

I blame my father, he challenged me to remember it further then his scientific calculator stored. So, for a while it was 3.1415926535898 and eventually I remembered it to 3.141592653589793. Why I stopped there, I dunno.

hmmm, appears to be 48 digits. Damn that pi song! I have til March 14 to learn the first 100 digits, not that I put much effort into it.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eDiSYp_51iY
(keep that tune in the back of your mind while you read the digits of pi & it becomes very easy to remember them.)
And, there's no friggin way you can read them this fast - you have to memorize them to do this (3:50 point in the song): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CS1WlUzjtXU

What's a VIN? Is that like the serial number?

I think this probably answers your question. No, I don't have it memorized. Why would I?

One thing I do know by heart about my car is what the sidewall of my tires say. 35 PSI.
